About this journey
In 1 and 2 Kings, Elijah faces the drought, meets a widow, challenges the prophets of Baal on Carmel and denounces Ahab’s injustice. Later, weary and afraid, he goes into the wilderness. In time, he passes his ministry to Elisha; other biblical books also recall the prophet.
